A little bit about us :)
Caroline McCaul
BA (Hons) Art & Design with Primary Education
I graduated from Edge Hill University in 1992 where I then went on to teach for 14 years in Primary Education. During this time I helped develop and deliver a quality art curriculum. Since leaving the profession, I have run art clubs, brownie workshops, youth sessions and adult jewellery workshops. I also sell some of my personal makes at Christmas craft fairs. During the 2020 lockdown I decided to take the plunge and set up a small instagram business @cm_creatives where I showcase and sell jewellery, resin & pyrography work, with an emphasis on providing personalised orders.
I strongly believe that everyone has an artist hidden inside them and here at The Craft Studio we provide a safe and welcoming space for anyone and everyone to join, regardless of their level of experience, or lack thereof. We will tailor to everyone’s needs and ensure you come out feeling accomplished, and maybe even like the next Picasso…
Carole Medlock
Art & Design, Classroom Assistant
Since I can remember I have always enjoyed being creative, spending a lot of my childhood drawing and painting. From this l set up and ran my own successful jewellery business for 8 years.
Whilst raising my family I trained to be a teaching assistant and helped run an after school art club and also assisted in the art department.
4 years ago I started a clothing alteration business, @SimpleAlterations, where I alter, fix and mend items of clothing.
My passion is sewing and card making, I enjoy making cards and gifts for family and friends and have sold my handmade gifts at Craft Fairs and on Etsy.
The Craft Studio's aim is to host a variety of fun workshops so people can experience the joy of crafting. We assure you that there is a crafter in everyone and we are here to find it in you!
